Greenock Telegraph news article from 24th June 2020
In response to Governor David Ige’s press release below, today, we have written to DOT harbors department with a final offer to work together (in conjunction with Roll–Dock) to repatriate the ‘Falls of Clyde’ back to the UK. We shall keep you all appraised of any developments or further response.
Falls of Clyde International are pleased to release details of our plans for the historic vessel ‘Falls of Clyde’, currently impounded by the state of Hawaii, Honolulu. Recent correspondence with DOT Harbors department recognises that our Scotland based campaign is a stand-alone group, separate in its identity from established local groups.
The Save Falls of Clyde International Campaign will be represented at this upcoming event on 4th June, where we are to meet with major players in low carbon technologies that could offer new partnerships for the future.
