One of our campaign supporters Mr Chris Bruce, taking the opportunity to tell the kids some stories from the history of the falls of Clyde and his own experience onboard a tall ship. This was a Science Day held in Glasgow Gorbals area, where even I got a chance to explain to the First Minister of Scotland, our plans for the rebuilding of the ship and the social-economic and environmental messages it sends out, as well as the benefits of long term relationships with Hawaii businesses and community groups. Pre-Covid event!
Once again we would like to welcome Ms Irina Svaetchinin who is joining the advisory board, for the Falls of Clyde International team, Irina is currently working with a global cruise ship line as an environmental officer. "Being part of the Advisory Board of Falls of Clyde is an admirable task and I am highly honored. I am looking forward to the collaboration and am sure Falls of Clyde will bring something remarkable to the maritime sustainability sector in the future. Old sailing ships are part of our cultural heritage".

In response to Governor David Ige’s press release below, today, we have written to DOT harbors department with a final offer to work together (in conjunction with Roll–Dock) to repatriate the ‘Falls of Clyde’ back to the UK. We shall keep you all appraised of any developments or further response.

Falls of Clyde International are pleased to release details of our plans for the historic vessel ‘Falls of Clyde’, currently impounded by the state of Hawaii, Honolulu. Recent correspondence with DOT Harbors department recognises that our Scotland based campaign is a stand-alone group, separate in its identity from established local groups.
The Save Falls of Clyde International Campaign will be represented at this upcoming event on 4th June, where we are to meet with major players in low carbon technologies that could offer new partnerships for the future.
