World Environmental Day

On this World Environmental Day, I thought it was worth listing our plans for future ship operations for the Falls of Clyde. We appreciate that we have to secure her release first from Honolulu, but that is a process we are engaged in, despite the recent cancelled bid process.
It is planned that she will play a role in the collection of Ocean plastics, in particular, ‘Ghost Nets’, from around the Pacific. This will be part of an Education programme on board, where kids can learn about climate change and gain hands on experiences.
We will offer to carry ethically produced products, from Hawaii also, offering access to new markets to local growers of Coffee, Sugar and other locally produced goods.
As she will be retro fitted with clean emission propulsion, that could be offered in Hawaii as a clean solution, retro fitted propulsion solution.
All of these activities will offer Hawaii communities, new opportunities and growth opportunities to local businesses.
